PURPOSE: A sealing method for an organic electroluminescence device is provided to allow the electroluminescence device to operate in a stable manner over a long period of time by sealing the device together with the material containing a combustion gas. CONSTITUTION: A sealing method is characterized in that a material containing a combustion gas is added in the organic electroluminescence device sealing process, to thereby emit the combustion gas even after the completion of sealing process. The material containing the combustion gas is an activated carbon where an oxygen is over adsorbed.
