The swing spindle assembly has a swing housing at the spindle rail with a rotating spindle and a wharve rotating around the spindle axis. In the working position, the spindle is driven by a tangential belt and, in the second position, it is stopped by a brake. In the working position, it is powered by a second tangential belt drive and, in the second position, it is against a second brake. The spindle and the rotary speed transmitter are in separate housings, bonded together. The swing spindle assembly, for a yarn twister, has a swing housing (2) at the spindle rail (1) with a rotating spindle (3) and a wharve (4) rotating around the spindle axis (5). In the working position, the spindle is driven by a tangential belt (6) and, in the second position, it is stopped by a brake. A rotary speed transmitter (7) is at the housing, with its wharve (8) around a transmitter axis (9) parallel to the spindle axis. In the working position, it is powered by a second tangential belt drive (10) and, in the second position, it is against a second brake. The spindle and the rotary speed transmitter are in separate housings, bonded together. Both brakes are brake pads (13).
