PURPOSE: A motor housing for a vacuum cleaner is provided to reduce the number of parts by simplifying the structure of the vacuum cleaner body, and to increase the productivity by reducing assembling process. CONSTITUTION: A motor housing of a vacuum cleaner comprises a casing(210) opening the upper part; a cover(212) connecting to the side of the casing by a hinge and opening and closing the casing; an assembling unit closing the casing by the cover; a suction unit(220) formed at the side of the casing to flow air from a dust collecting unit; and an exhaust part(222) formed at the side of the casing to discharge internal air. The assembling unit has an assembling link installed in the rear part of the cover, and an assembling protrusion(218) combined with the assembling link.
