PURPOSE: A remote control system of a washing machine and a method thereof are provided to use the washing machine conveniently by remote-controlling and monitoring the washing machine through a personal computer or a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant). CONSTITUTION: A remote control system comprises an outer input unit(10) selecting the menu, transmitting the command or data corresponding to the selected menu to a washing machine(40), and monitoring the washing machine; a personal computer(30) connected between the washing machine and the outer input unit to transmit data between the washing machine and the outer input unit; and a microcomputer(43) controlling the washing machine corresponding to the command or data from the personal computer, and transmitting response data to the outer input unit. The washing machine is used conveniently by remote-controlling and monitoring the washing machine. |
