PURPOSE: A polyoxymethylene resin composition having excellent chlorine resistance for use in a product which contacts with chlorine containing water for a long time or a product which deals with high concentration of chlorine is provided. CONSTITUTION: The chlorine resistant polyoxymethylene resin composition comprises: (a) 100 parts by weight of a polyoxymethylene resin, (b) 0.01 to parts by weight of a sterically hindered phenol or a sterically hindered amine anti-oxidant, (c) 0.05 to 4 parts by weight of a zinc compound, (d) 0.05 to 4 parts by weight of an alkaline earth metal compound, (e) a material reactive to formaldehyde selected from the group consisting of amide compounds, urethane compounds, pyridine derivatives, urea derivatives, triazine derivatives, hydrazine derivatives, or a mixture containing two or more of them reactive to formaldehyde. |
