PURPOSE: A wireless communication device capable of enhancing a connection rate and a method therefor are provided to reduce a frequency number for resuming packet transmission in an initial setup by connection failure with an external device by increasing the number of packet transmission. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting and receiving unit(21) transmits and receives data with an external device. A response packet generating unit(23) generates a response packet with respect to a certain packet received from the external device for informing that the packet is normally received. If the packet is received, a control unit(25) transmits the generated response packet to the external device through the transmitting and receiving unit(21). If an error is generated in the transmitted response packet, the control unit(25) transmits the response packet again after a certain time.
