Color stabilizer(s) (A) used for increasing the washing fastness of dyeing on keratin fibers comprises nitrogen (N)-containing silicone, polystyrenesulfonate and/or pyrrolidone. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) The agents used for this purpose; (2) Method of dyeing fibers, especially keratin fibers, by dyeing in the usual way in a first stage, applying an agent containing (A) in a second stage and optionally rinsing this off after 1-5 minutes; (3) Method of dyeing fibers, especially keratin fibers, by applying an agent containing (A) in a first stage and dyeing in the usual way in a second stage; (4) Agents containing (A) and a carbohydrate.
