PURPOSE: A linear compressor and a method for manufacturing a stator for the linear compressor are provided to entirely improve the assembling efficiency of an inner stator and cut down manufacturing cost by easily arranging steel plates. CONSTITUTION: A linear compressor and a method for manufacturing a stator for the linear compressor are composed of a plurality of sheet-shape steel plates(23a) and an inner stator(23) arranged to an outer diameter of a cylinder(32) by using fixing rings(23d) bent in a ring shape after being assembled with the steel plates with arranging the steel plates in a centrifugal direction.
