SHELL AND TUBE TYPE REACTOR FOR PHOTOCATALYSIS

PURPOSE: A shell and tube type reactor for photocatalysis is provided in which ultraviolet light sources and photocatalyst coated tubes are geometrically arranged inside shell, reaction fluid is moved inside the shell so that the reaction fluid is photocatalyzed on the surface by irradiation of the ultraviolet light sources. CONSTITUTION: The shell(100) and tube type reactor for photocatalysis comprises a reaction fluid inflow part(110); a photocatalytic layer comprising a plural ultraviolet light sources(150) and a plural photocatalyst coated tubes(140) arranged in such a structure that the photocatalyst coated tubes surround each of the ultraviolet light sources; a fixing member for fixing the photocatalyst coated tubes and ultraviolet light sources to the reactor; and a produced fluid discharge part(160), wherein a length direction of the ultraviolet light sources and photocatalyst coated tubes of the photocatalytic layer is perpendicular to a flow direction of the fluid, wherein the ultraviolet light sources and photocatalyst coated tubes are arranged in a honeycomb structure, wherein a dispersion plate is additionally mounted on the rear side of the reaction fluid inflow part, wherein a prefilter(130) is additionally mounted on the front part of the photocatalyst coated tubes, wherein the photocatalyst coated tubes are prepared by coating photocatalyst on aluminum tubes, wherein the photocatalyst coated tubes are formed in simple tube shape, tube shape on the surface of which pins are formed, or mesh tube shape, wherein the fixing member comprises first perforated mesh and second perforated mesh, wherein the ultraviolet light sources are ultraviolet lamps or ozone lamps having central wavelength of 180 to 370 nm, and wherein the photocatalyst coated tubes are arranged with being spaced apart from each other in a distance of 5 to 10 mm.
