PURPOSE: An air cleaner is provided in which sterilization is actively performed by photocatalytic agent to increase cleanliness of air and improve commercialization of photocatalytic filters. CONSTITUTION: The air cleaner comprises a case(10) comprising air inlet(11a) and air outlet(11b); first mesh filter(20), antibacterial filter(30), electric precipitator(40), photocatalytic filter assembly(50) and carbon filter(60) installed inside the case; a cross flow fan(70) installed at the air outlet side of the case; and second mesh filter(80) installed at the air outlet of the case, wherein the photocatalytic filter assembly(50) comprises a box shaped frame(51) changeably installed at the case as front and rear parts and upper and lower parts of the frame are being opened; an ultraviolet lamp(52) installed inside the frame; and photocatalytic filters(53,54,55,56) respectively installed at the opening part of four directions of the frame, wherein photocatalytic filters of the air inlet and air outlet sides for air flow direction in the photocatalytic filters are formed in a mesh structure while the rest of upper and lower photocatalytic filters are formed of non-woven fabric, wherein the photocatalytic filters are formed in a curved shape to increase contact area of ultraviolet rays, and wherein slot(50a) is formed at both sides of the inner part of the case of the air cleaner, and the first and second mesh filters, antibacterial filter, dust collector and carbon filter are installed in such a way that both end parts of the first and second mesh filters, antibacterial filter, dust collector and carbon filter are attached to or detached from the slots(20a,30a,40a,60a,80a).
