DOUBLE STEP IMPACT ABSORBING SYSTEM PREVENTING BRIDGE DISPLACEMENT AND FALL

PURPOSE: An impact absorbing system preventing bridge displacement and fall is provided to decrease the amount of impact caused by an earthquake and affecting a bridge by a double step prevention such as a cylinder type damper and an elastic shoe. CONSTITUTION: The impact absorbing system preventing bridge displacement and fall contains: an elastic shoe provided with an elastic member(202) layered between an upper plate(201) and a lower one; an elastic shoe; a contact plate(101) touching with an impact object; a fixing plate(103) connected to the upper plate by bolts and provided with an elastic rubber pressed and deformed between the contact plate and the fixing plate; a cylinder(105) provided with an orifice(106) and attached to the bottom of the contact plate; a piston(107) inserted into the cylinder at one end and connected to the upper plate at the other end through a bolt(113); a viscous fluid(110) flowing inside and outside the cylinder through the orifice, therefore absorbing external impact affecting the bridge.
