SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING FAILURE INFORMATION IN COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: A system and method for managing failure information in a communication network is provided to automatically detect communication failure between an agent and a manager and automatically restore a failure information error. CONSTITUTION: A communication device(100) having communication equipments performs a communication and reports a failure to an agent(200). The agent(200) receives the failure from the communication device(100), converts it into a failure message form and continuously reports it to a manager(300). The manager(300) processes the failure message. A failure receiver(310) receives the failure message from the agent(200). A failure processor(320) processes the failure message appropriately. A failure storing unit(330) stores the pressed failure message. A failure reporter(340) reports the processed failure to an operator's computer(400). A reception state monitor(350) monitors a communication failure with respect to the agent(200). A failure restoring unit(360) automatically restores failure information with error due to failure message loss caused by a communication failure. A restored information storing unit(380) stores the failure for a predetermined period after the communication state is normally restored for a failure restoration.
