PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically removing dross adhered to the surface of sink roll is provided to easily remove dross stuck to a part between the surface and groove of the sink roll by possessing dross removing device and dross sensor for measuring roughness and vibration of the surface of the sink roll. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for automatically removing dross adhered to the surface of sink roll(5) of plating bath comprises a scraping device(20) the end part of which has a shape corresponding to a groove formed on the sink roll(5), and in which a high pressure nitrogen injection nozzle is installed; a dross sensing device(30) the end part of which is formed in a shape corresponding to the groove formed on the sink roll(5), and which is elastically vibrated according to depth of the groove; cylinders(25,35) connected to the upper part of the scraping device(20) and dross sensing device(30) to adjust length of the scraping device(20) and dross sensing device(30); ball screw devices(40,42,44,46) connected to an intermediate part of the scraping device(20) and dross sensing device(30) to parallel transfer the scraping device(20) and dross sensing device(30); and a control means for controlling the scraping device(20) and dross sensing device(30), wherein the ball screw devices(40,42,44,46) comprise a ball screw(40), a driving motor(44) for driving the ball screw(40), and a torque coupling(42) for blocking or reversely converting connection of the driving motor(44) and ball screw(40) by sensing rotation overload of the ball screw(40).
