PURPOSE: An overhead ground wire formed with an optical fiber is provided to simplify a manufacturing process and reduce manufacturing costs by forming a central tension line of an optical unit with an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A spacer includes a plurality of spiral grooves of a constant pitch. A plurality of optical fibers(21) are spirally formed around a central tension line(31). An optical fiber unit(20) is inserted into the spiral grooves by coating a plurality of ultraviolet shield resins(22,23) on the optical fibers. An aluminum tube is formed around the spacer including optical fiber unit. A plurality of aluminum coating steel wires are formed on an outer surface of the aluminum tube. The central tension line of the optical unit is formed with an optical fiber.
