APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONVERTING CVT DATA

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for converting CVT data are provided to easily and conveniently display pictures and characters by converting data into CVT data appropriate for characteristics of an LCD. CONSTITUTION: A control unit receives 16x16 bit map data from a data input and output unit(S1). The control unit converts 16x16 bit map data into COM increase type 16x16 CVT data for storing the COM increase type 16x16 CVT data in a cache memory(S2). The control unit reads the COM increase type 16x16 CVT data from the cache memory for displaying the COM increase type 16x16 CVT data at a 16x16 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)(S3).
