PURPOSE: A method for providing estimated charging duration and charging capacity information of a battery of a mobile communication terminal is provided to allow a user to determine a battery charging completion condition and obtain accurate information on battery charging by accurately tracking a charging curve. CONSTITUTION: A charging completion condition, that is, a charging completion capacity or a charging completion time point, is received from a user and stored(S211). When charging starts(S212), a controller calculates estimated charging duration or an estimated charging capacity up to the charging completion condition(S213) and outputs it(S214). The controller measures an inlet current amount at every predetermined time and extracts information on a charging duration-to-charged current or charging duration-to-charged amount(S215,S216), and compares it with a previously stored charging curve. If there is a change above a certain threshold value(S217), the controller updates and stores the information on the charging curve(S218). Calculation and output of the estimated charging duration and tracking of the charging curve are continuously performed until the charging completion condition is satisfied(S219).
