PURPOSE: A spindle having superior wear resistance and heat resistance is provided which improves productivity, lowers production cost and enables production of product having superior quality by improving a material for spindle of corrector roll and stabilizer roll rotated in a hot dip galvanizing pot. CONSTITUTION: The spindle having superior wear resistance and heat resistance for driving rolls in galvanizing pot is characterized in that austenitic stainless steel having a chemical composition comprising 0.022 wt.% or less of C, 2.0 wt.% or less of Mn, 24 to 28 wt.% of Cr, 19 to 22 wt.% of Ni, 0.5 wt.% or less of Mo and 0.2 wt.% or less of Cu is used, and particularly stainless steel a carbon content of which is lowered to less than 0.022 wt.%, in which it is difficult to form chromium carbide, or which contains 0.02 wt.% or less of Cr as a high chromium carbide type of (FeCr)4C is selectively used so that intergranular corrosion of the austenitic stainless steel is reduced in order to prevent wear of the spindle generated when a spindle for driving corrector roll and stabilizer roll rotated in a hot dip galvanizing pot is reacted with molten zinc, thermal impact caused due to temperature difference between a part of the spindle inside the galvanizing pot and a part of the spindle outside the galvanizing pot, mechanical stress due to driving of motor, and deformation by thermal impact due to temperature difference between a part of the spindle inside the galvanizing pot and a part of the spindle outside the galvanizing pot, mechanical stress due to driving of motor, and unbalance of center of gravity due to adherence of dross.
