The split hinge comprises two complementary half bodies (2,3) each comprising fixings (4) onto a support and a blind bore (5). A pin (10) engaged in the bores has a length (L) greater than the sum of the depths (P2 and P3) of the bores so as to be supported against the bottoms of the bores during assembly of the hinge.
