APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING MOLTEN STEEL FROM OVERFLOWING

PURPOSE: An anti-overflowing apparatus for a molten steel is provided to prevent a molten steel from overflowing through a molten steel discharging port of a tundish regardless of breakage of a stopper. CONSTITUTION: An anti-overflowing apparatus includes a cylinder(12) fixed to a lower portion of a tundish(11) and a cutting section(13) fixed to an end of a rod of the cylinder(12). A fixing bracket is provided to fix the cylinder(12) to the lower portion of the tundish(11). The cutting section(13) has a cutter blade(16) installed at an upper portion of a mounting vessel(15) and a chip storing vessel(17) formed at a center of the cutter blade(16). The cutter blade(16) is formed at a front end thereof with a semi-circular slot(16a) and formed at a center thereof with a perforation hole. A holder vessel(18) having a spring therein is installed at a lower portion of the cutter blade(16). A hinge lug is formed at a lower outer portion of the holder vessel(18).
