PURPOSE: A method for taking a sample from cast-iron and a pre-treatment method thereof are provided to minimize analysis error by taking the sample in a slice shape and cleaning and drying the sample. CONSTITUTION: Impurities formed on a surface of a carbon-analysis sample of cast-iron is processed by using a wheel. Then, the carbon-analysis sample of cast-iron is introduced into a cutter so as to cut the carbon-analysis sample of cast-iron in a slice shape. Then, the carbon-analysis sample of cast-iron is subject to cleaning and drying processes in order to remove impurities generated during previous processes. The cutter includes a diamond wheel and an R.P.M of the cutter is in a range of 2000 to 3000. A size of the slice shape is about 0.5 to 1.0mm.
