PURPOSE: A proximity switch using a suppressor diode is provided to protect the proximity switch and a peripheral device from the penetration of a high-speed noise by connecting the suppressor diode to a power input terminal of the proximity switch. CONSTITUTION: A DC(Direct Current) supplying unit(60a) supplies power to a proximity switch main circuit unit(10a). A Zener diode(30a) maintains the power supplied from the DC supplying unit(60a). An inverse voltage breaking diode(40a) is inversely connected to the Zener diode(30a) to break out a high current due to an inverse voltage. A main circuit unit protecting diode(20a) breaks out the inverse voltage to protect the proximity switch main circuit unit(10a). An output terminal unit(70a) outputs a signal detected from the proximity switch main circuit unit(10a) to a peripheral device. A suppressor diode(50a) restricting a high-speed noise is connected in parallel to an input terminal of the DC supplying unit(60a).
