PURPOSE: Provided are a dendron end-capped arylene-vinylene or arylene-arylene alternating copolymer, having large molecular weight, excellent adhesive force and quantum efficiency and being close to monochromatic light, and an electroluminescent element containing the copolymer as a luminescent material. CONSTITUTION: The dendron end-capped arylene-vinylene or arylene-arylene alternating copolymer is represented by the formula: NED-(Ar-U-Ar')n-DEN, wherein Ar and Ar' are identically or differently phenyl or aromatic compounds or hetero compounds substituted with C1-C22 aliphatic alkyl, and diphenyl compounds of various isomers, or compounds having at least two phenyl groups comprising terphenyl, naphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene, and derivatives thereof, n is an integer of more than 1, u is a single bond or a double bond, and DEN is phenylether-based dendrimer. And the electroluminescent element comprising cathode/luminescent layer/anode contains the dendron end-capped arylene-vinylene or arylene-arylene alternating copolymer as a luminescent material of the luminescent layer. |
