摘要 PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of niobium added hot-rolled austenitic stainless steel is provided which is capable of skipping solid solution treatment and stabilizing treatment by precipitating niobium carbide as suppressing precipitation of chromium carbide, thereby stabilizing carbon in steel in hot rolling process. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing hot-rolled austenitic stainless steel by hot rolling a slab comprising 0.08 wt.% or less of C, 17 to 19 wt.% of Cr, 9 to 13 wt.% of Ni, 1.0 wt.% or less of Si, 2.0 wt.% or less of Mn, 0.045 wt.% or less of P, 0.030 wt.% or less of S, 1.0 wt.% or less of Nb, and a balance of Fe and other inevitable impurities, wherein Nb satisfies 10xC wt.% or more, the manufacturing method of niobium added hot-rolled austenitic stainless steel is characterized in that cooling speed is controlled when hot rolling the slab so that the slab is maintained for 15 to 75 minutes in the temperature range between a lower temperature out of {7,510/(2.96-log(Nb)-log(C))}-273 deg.C and finishing temperature of the rolling and {6,120/(3.693-log(C))}-273 deg.C after finishing rolling at a temperature higher than {6,120/(3.693-log(C))}-273 deg.C.
