PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) of a diesel engine are provided to freely adjust the rotation of an EGR blade and to precisely adjust a recirculation rate by controlling intake air compression performance. CONSTITUTION: A motor-driven butterfly valve(30) prevents the counterflow or emission of exhaust gas. An exhauster(40) emits the exhaust gas. A pressure sensor(110) detects the pressure of the emitted gas. An exhauster rpm detector(120) detects the rotational speed of the exhauster. An engine control unit(200) outputs a specific control signal by receiving the signals of the pressure sensor and the rpm detector. An inverter(70) converts the power supplied from a battery(60) and outputs the converted power.
