PURPOSE: A navigation system is provided to transfer correct information to an user by forming an indication portion for indicating a destination and a distance indication portion for indicating a distance on a display screen of the navigation system. CONSTITUTION: A navigation system(100) includes an indication portion(17). The indication portion is formed at a boundary between a horizontal line(11) and a virtual line for connecting a position(13) of a destination to a present position(15) on a display screen(10) of the navigation system. A distance indication portion(19) is formed at an adjacent position to the indication portion in order to indicate a distance between the present position and the position of the destination. The indication portion is formed with a flag-shaped indicator.
