PURPOSE: A weighted value updating method is provided to generate a beam pattern of an adaptive antenna array in a mobile communication situation on a real time basis by remarkably simplifying an algorithm for beam formation. CONSTITUTION: An initial value is set(S10). When a new receiving signal vector and an output signal vector are generated from an arbitrary snapshot(S11), a maximum eigen value is updated from the receiving signal vector and the output signal vector(S12). A weighted vector of the next snapshot is updated by using the updated maximum eigen value(S13).
