PURPOSE: A system for processing a digital image and a method for processing an image are provided to easily convert color coordinates by using a rotative conversion matrix. CONSTITUTION: A video decoder(3) processes general video signals for outputting brightness and color difference signals. An ADC(Analog-to-Digital Converter)(1) processes digital video signals for outputting another brightness and color difference signals. A scaler(5) receives the brightness and color difference signals processed at the video decoder or the ADC for converting into the brightness and color difference signals into digital RGB signals displayable on a panel. A hue control unit(10) is provided so that a user controls hue. A rotary conversion matrix(7) rotatively converts the color difference signals according to an adjustment value from the hue control unit to adjust hue of the color difference signals.
