PURPOSE: Provided is rice which is capable of being cooked without washing and has an excellent taste and flavor and gloss, as well as pharmacological efficacies, thereby increasing consumption of rice. CONSTITUTION: Rice capable of being cooked without washing is prepared by washing rice, soaking the washed rice in a mixed solution of oligosaccharide, a pine needle extract, water soluble vitamin, and fruit juice; drying or steaming the rice. The manufactured rice is coated with vegetable oil to give gloss. |
