PURPOSE: A system and a method for transmitting data in real time through a paging channel in a mobile communication network are provided to receive the data in real time from an information providing server without connecting to another network or maintaining the connection by processing information received from the information providing server connected to another network and transmitting processed information to an MS(Mobile Station) of a service subscriber through the paging channel. CONSTITUTION: A service server(200) formats information received from an information providing server(100) as a data format suitable for being transmitted through a paging channel, and transmits formatted information. An MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(300) transmits data received from the service server(200) to a base station(400) through the assigned paging channel. The base station(400) combines the paging channel received from the MSC(300) with another channels, and transmits the data through the paging channel. An MS(500) analyzes the data received from the base station(400) through the paging channel, and displays the analyzed data on a screen.
