APPARATUS FOR MEASURING PARTICLE SIZE

PURPOSE: A particle size measuring apparatus is provided to continuously measure a particle size by using an equation between density and particles. CONSTITUTION: A particle size measuring apparatus includes a sample selecting device for selecting a sample from particles being conveyed. The sample selecting device consists of a sample selecting belt(17) and a driving motor for driving the sample selecting belt(17). The driving motor is driven by receiving power from a power source. The sample of particles selected by the sample selecting belt(17) is stored in a storage hopper having upper and lower detecting members(28,29). A drain valve(31) is installed at a lower portion of the storage hopper so as to discharge water contained in the particles. A vibrator(30) is provided to prevent a discharging port of the storage hopper from being clogged.
