摘要 PURPOSE: Snap ring structure of a multidisk clutch for an automatic transmission is provided to prevent wrong operation or failure of the clutch by restricting displacement of the snap ring with modifying the shape of the snap ring. CONSTITUTION: Plural plates(3) are combined with an inner race(1') of a retainer(1), and plural disks(7) are combined with an outer race(5') of a hub(5) spline-combined with a shaft. Plates and disks are arranged alternately, and power is controlled with multiple contacts. A snap ring(20) is combined with the inner race of the retainer to support the outside of an outermost reaction plate(3'), and an insertion part(21) is protruded outside the snap ring. An insertion groove(4) is formed in the retainer, and a support sill(2) is formed in the end of the retainer. Displacement of the snap ring is restricted by contacting the insertion part of the snap ring to the support sill of the retainer.
