PURPOSE: An exhaust manifold for improving the purification efficiency and life span of a catalytic converter is provided to improve the purification efficiency of a catalyst and to lengthen the life span of the catalyst by uniformly distributing exhaust gas to the sectional area of the catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A diffuser(10) of which diameter is increased downward is formed in the lower end of a mixing chamber(2). A catalytic converter(11) is connected to the diffuser. The exhaust gas emitted from each cylinder flows into the mixing chamber through corresponding runners(3-6). The exhaust gas swirls in the mixing chamber and is mixed uniformly. According to the structure of the diffuser, flow velocity is increased. Thus, the exhaust gas is distributed uniformly to the whole section of a catalyst of the catalytic converter.
