PURPOSE: Bioartificial skin prepared from mesenchymal cells of a hair follicle is provided, thereby producing more growth factors and proteins and less protease such as collagenase. Therefore, the bioartificial skin can recover the cells more effectively. CONSTITUTION: Bioartificial skin comprises (a) a bio-substrate tissue containing mesenchymal cells of a hair follicle covering a frame made in vitro and a connective tissue protein secreted from the mesenchymal cells of a hair follicle; and (b) a transitional covering connected to the substrate tissue, wherein the mesenchymal cells of hair follicle is dermal papilla cell and connective tissue sheath cell; the hair follicle is head hair follicle or beard hair follicle; the frame is at least one kind of biodegradable material selected from the group consisting of polyglactic acid, chitin, chitosan, cotton, polyglycolic acid, cellulose, gelatin, collagen, fibrin and dextran; and the transitional covering is made of silicone or polyurethane.
