PURPOSE: A catalyst supply apparatus for a washing machine is provided to supply the fixed amount of catalyst by regulating the supply amount with controlling rpm of a transfer shaft in passing the catalyst through a brush filter, and to prevent deterioration of the catalyst by restricting steam from being contacted to the catalyst with closing a discharge hole partially and separating the discharge hole from a washing tub. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst supply device for a washing machine is composed of a chamber forming a recess longitudinally and continuously in the lower part and a hopper(5) outside a discharge hole connected to the recess; a brush filter(20) inserted to the discharge hole of the chamber; a deceleration motor(30) mounted at the side of the chamber and decelerated and rotated by receiving power from a control unit; and a transfer shaft(40) inserted to the recess of the chamber and rotated in driving the deceleration motor. The supply amount of the catalyst is regulated accurately by pressing and discharging the catalyst through the brush filter corresponding to rotation of the transfer shaft, and deterioration of the catalyst is prevented by restricting contact of steam and the catalyst. |
