PURPOSE: A field emission display device and a spacer mounting method thereof are provided to achieve improved mechanical strength of the spacer by permitting the spacer contacting the lower glass substrate to have a width larger than the width of the spacer contacting the upper glass substrate. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display device comprises an upper glass substrate(52) where an anode electrode(54) is formed; a lower glass substrate(58) where a cathode electrode(60) is formed; and a plurality of spacers(66) interposed between the upper glass substrate and the lower glass substrate, wherein each of the spacers has a first surface contacting the upper glass substrate and a second surface contacting the lower glass substrate. The first surface has a width different from the width of the second surface.
