PURPOSE: An air cleaner is provided in which sterilizing operation is actively performed by photocatalyst to increase cleanliness of air and improve commercialization of photocatalytic filters. CONSTITUTION: The air cleaner(10) comprises a case(11) comprising air inlet(11a) and air outlet(11b); first mesh filter(20), antibacterial filter(30), dust collector(40), photocatalytic filter assembly(50) and carbon filter(60) installed inside the case; cross flow fan(70) installed at the side of the air outlet of the case; and second mesh filter(80) installed at the air outlet of the case, wherein the photocatalytic filter assembly comprises an ultraviolet lamp(51) and photocatalytic filters(52,53,54,55) independently installed in four directions of the ultraviolet lamp, wherein the photocatalytic filters are changeably assembled into slots(52a,53a,54a,55a) respectively formed on front and rear parts and upper and lower parts of the ultraviolet lamp inside the case for the air cleaner, wherein photocatalytic filters of sides of the air inlet and air outlet for the air flow direction in the photocatalytic filters are formed of a mesh structure while the rest of upper and lower photocatalytic filters are formed of non-woven fabric, and wherein slots are respectively formed on both inner parts of the air cleaner, and the first and second mesh filters, antibacterial filter, dust collector and carbon filter are installed in such a way that both end parts thereof are inserted into or separated from the slots(20a,30a,40a,60a,80a).
