Method of forming a layered structure on a substrate

Production of a layer structure on a flat substrate comprises: applying an inorganic ceramic material to the substrate; and heat treating to harden and sinter the inorganic ceramic material. Preferred Features: The inorganic ceramic material is applied to the substrate by screen printing, using pressure, doctoring and/or by spraying. The inorganic ceramic material is embedded in a tissue, metal wire or in fibers and then applied to the substrate.
