PURPOSE: A pearl composition containing higher alcohol, together with a conventional pearl composition containing an anionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant and a pearlizing agent is provided. Therefore, the cosmetic composition has enhanced pearl-like feel and excellent stability as compared to a cosmetic composition containing a conventional pearl composition. CONSTITUTION: A pearl composition contains 30 to 70% by weight of an anionic surfactant, 2 to 8% by weight of an anionic surfactant, 5 to 15% by weight of a pearlizing agent, 1 to 14% by weight of lower alcohol having C14 to 22 straight alkyl and the balance of water. A cosmetic composition contains 5 to 40% by weight of the pearl composition, together with a conventional cosmetic composition. The anionic surfactant includes sodium lauryl sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, polyoxyethylene sodium lauryl sulfate and polyoxyethylene ammonium lauryl sulfate.
