PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating a common voltage is provided to generate correctly the common voltage by controlling a common voltage level by means of a program. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(36) for generating a common voltage includes the first resistance(R1), a plurality of voltage control resistances(40), a switching element(SW), and a buffer(OP). The first resistance is connected to the first voltage source. The voltage control resistances are connected to the second voltage source. The switching element is used for connecting the first resistance with one of the voltage control resistances. The buffer is used for restraining a loss of the input voltage according to a distributional voltage ratio selected by the switching element. The apparatus further includes the first capacitor(C1), the second resistance(R2), and the second capacitor(C2).
