ASYMMETRICAL STEEL BEAM WITH WEB OPENINGS

PURPOSE: An asymmetrical steel beam with web openings is provided to allow slab reinforcing bars to pass through the openings of a steel beam and to lower the height of a steel beam, therefore to effectively meet construction load and improve fire resistance. CONSTITUTION: The process of fabricating asymmetrical steel beam with web openings contains: cutting the flange of normal steel beams and forming web openings, then welding the upper smaller wide T to the lower wide T; welding bent shape steels to the lower flange(20) to be used as a support for a slab deck; placing concrete through web openings to be unified with a slab(50), reinforcing bars are arranged through web openings and the cut web section increases horizontal shear resistance.
