<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning flange of electric furnace is provided to efficiently remove skulls including skull, slag, scrap and quicklime accumulated on the flange of cooling water panel forming the body of the electric furnace. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for cleaning flange(12) of electric furnace(10) comprises an accumulator tank(28) for storing steam generated from cooling water supply line of door(16') of working hole(16); a steam motor(24) driven by receiving steam from the accumulator tank(28); a chain(52) rotationally connected to speed reducer(26) of the steam motor; cleaners(20,22) connected to the chain to remove skulls accumulated on the flange; and a guide rail(14) for guiding movement of the cleaners, wherein the cleaners(20,22) are installed at the working hole(16) side and tapping hole(18) side of the electric furnace(10) respectively, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a backlashing switch for backlashing the speed reducer(26).</p> |
