In a brushless multiphase AC electric machine comprising a magnetic pole sensor (29) which senses the rotational position of a rotor (60) and in which a phase current supplied to each phase is advanced by a predetermined amount on the basis of a signal from the magnetic pole sensor, the magnetic pole sensor (29) is disposed so that the switching timing of the phase current energized by advance may be coincident with the variation timing of a magnetic field sensed by the magnetic pole sensor. |
