PURPOSE: A method for reducing NOx at early start of a diesel engine is provided to improve fuel efficiency, to reduce the emission of NOx in the initial starting, and to obtain the effect of prime cost saving by increasing a target value of development. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing NOx at early start of a diesel engine comprises the steps of setting an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) fuel request mode depending on the total mileage(S130,S140), calculating a first target air flow depending on the EGR fuel request amount and engine rpm(S150), calculating an EGR monitoring value by operating the first target air flow with intake air flow, and outputting a specific EGR valve control signal corresponding to a second target air flow.
