PURPOSE: A self-test control method of a newspaper wrapping machine is provided to precisely display a tested result and to easily adjust and set operating state. CONSTITUTION: The power of a newspaper wrapping machine is turned on(S10). A heater is preheated at a set temperature. In finishing the preheating, a counter is reset. In pressing the counter for a few seconds in the reset state, a mode is changed to a test mode. The counter is continuously pressed to change the mode. A set value is changed by rotating a control dial while pressing a discharging button in each changed test mode. In pressing the counter for a few seconds in every mode, the mode is changed to an operating mode. In pressing the discharging button for a few second in the test mode, the mode is changed to an operation timing change mode of components. The mode is changed by continuously pressing the counter in the timing change mode. A timing is changed by rotating the control dial while pressing the discharging button in each timing change mode. In pressing the discharging button for a few second after setting every timing mode, the mode is changed to the rest mode. Thereby, the operating state of the component in the newspaper wrapping machine are tested sequentially and the tested result is displayed precisely.
