PURPOSE: A screen display device of a washing machine and a method thereof are provided to improve convenience by setting the course easily with dividing the display screen into the higher menu and the lower menu. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer applies power to a system in inputting a power key by a user(S10), and displays the menu screen through a display unit to the user in applying power for providing the menu about course(S11). The specific course is selected through the menu screen(S12). The first lower menu screen, default course condition corresponding to each menu and course time are displayed(S13). The course is performed according to the default displayed on the first menu screen during course time in inputting the operation key(S15), and the partial course is selected through the first lower menu screen in not inputting the operation key(S16). The second lower menu screen is displayed within the first screen range, and each course is set through the second menu screen and course time is displayed(S17,S18). The course is performed corresponding to the condition set through the second lower menu screen during course time in inputting the operation key after setting condition according to each course(S19,S20). The course is selected conveniently by displaying the higher menu and the subordinate menu sequentially. |
