APPARATUS FOR MEASURING GAP BETWEEN TIRE AND BEAD

PURPOSE: A gap measuring apparatus is provided to simply and precisely measure a gap formed between a tire and a bead by measuring the gap while a predetermined load is being applied to the tire. CONSTITUTION: A gap measuring apparatus includes a driving motor(2) installed in a base(1). A rotating drum(3) is connected to the driving motor(2). A supporting member(4) is installed at an upper portion of the base(1). A vertical moving bar(4a) is attached to a tip of the supporting member(4) in such a manner that the vertical moving bar(4a) is moved up and down. A horizontal moving bar(4b) is attached to a lower portion of the vertical moving bar(4a) in such a manner that the horizontal moving bar(4b) is moved in left and right directions. An ultrasonic sensor(5) is pivotably coupled to the horizontal moving bar(4b) through a pivot shaft(5a). A signal processing device(6) is provided to convert a signal generated from the ultrasonic sensor(5). A load adding section(8) is installed on the base(1).
