PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a light guide plate mold whose surface has an unequilateral triangle section and the mold fabricated by the method are provided to fabricate a light guide plate using a micro-electro-mechanical process. CONSTITUTION: A substrate having a surface that is not parallel with two crystalline planes anisotropically etched is prepared. An etching mask is formed on the surface of the substrate. The substrate is anisotropically etched to form a groove(110) having a shape of an unequilateral triangle section. A light guide plate mold material is filled in the groove formed on the surface of the substrate, to form a light guide plate mold. The light guide plate mold is separated from the substrate.
