DEVICE FOR DETECTING RESIDUAL OF PAPER IN PRINTER

PURPOSE: A remaining paper detector of a printer is provided to improve the convenience by easily checking the remaining paper in the network printer from each computer to be connected with the printer. CONSTITUTION: A paper actuator(100) is rotated according to the height change of paper by contacting on the paper on a paper pick-up cassette(10) and installing in a pick-up arm(20) of a pick-up frame(40) through a shaft(101). A slide lever(110) is rotated by installing on the shaft of the paper actuator and interlocking with the operation of the paper actuator. A long hole(111) is formed in the end of the slide lever. A slide variable resistor(120) has a lever(110) to be stored in the long hole. A residual detecting substrate(130) is stuck to the one side of the pick-up frame by supporting the slide variable resistor. The residual detecting substrate coverts a variable resistance value by the slide variable resistance to a remaining paper information of a digital signal to read from each computer. Thereby, a user recognize the remaining paper through computer without moving to a printer.
