PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to reduce power consumption of the liquid crystal display and improve picture quality of the display. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel(12), a gate driver(14), and a data driver(16). The liquid crystal panel is constructed in such a manner that liquid crystal cells formed at intersections of gate lines and data lines are connected to different data lines alternately arranged through thin film transistors. The gate driver drives the gate lines. The data driver drives the data lines and includes a multiplexer array that decides an output channel of input pixel data in response to a control signal whose polarity is inverted for each horizontal interval and adds one blank data, and a digital-analog converter for converting the pixel data and blank data into a pixel signal and a blank signal whose polarities are inverted for each data line. |
