PURPOSE: An image display apparatus by using an optical sensor and a driving method thereof are provided to remote-control an internet TV or a personal computer by attaching the optical sensor in the display of the internet TV or the personal computer and transmitting a light beam according to command. CONSTITUTION: An image display device is composed of a remote controller transmitting different wavelength band position and execution signals with a light beam; an optical sensor panel(42) displaying the image and loading an optical sensor(48) on the display for detecting position and execution signals; an interface(44) converting the position and execution signals from the optical sensor panel into digital signals; and a position/execution signal control unit(46) continuously detecting the position of the display surface with the position signal converted by the interface, and transmitting the execution signal according to the position signal to the system. The internet TV or the personal computer is remote-controlled by using the optical sensor. |
